ATTICUS LYON

Co-President

Since his first Model United Nations conference in grade 10, Atticus has been hooked by MUN’s unique delegate-driven structure and compromise-based debate format, which together make committee outcomes excitingly unpredictable. He joined the Western Model United Nations Society as the USG, Logistics and has also held the position of Secretary-General, Internal. This year, he is looking forward to hearing from members as the club undertakes efforts to expand and branch out. Atticus spent two years in Commercial Aviation Management, has a pilot license, and is currently in his first year of Business Administration at Ivey.

HAMZAH KHAN

Co-President

Hamzah is a 4th year accounting student at Western. His passion for Model United Nations began in grade 8 and he has attended conferences every year since. Aside from debating he enjoys law, astronomy, and investing.

OSCAR DIMANOV

Secretary-General, Internal

Oscar is going into 2nd year at Western and has been avidly participating in Model UN since grade 9. Outside of committee you can find him competing in law moots as well as making fun of Manchester United Fans

SHARON LOW

Secretary-General, External

Sharon is currently a third year student, studying a double major in biology and political sciences with a minor in psychology. While this is only her second year on exec with the club, MUN has been a large part of her life since grade 10. Since then, she has been involved in chairing, advising, being a delegate or a member of secretariat in over 20 conferences on 3 different continents. Outside of MUN, she loves watching Buzzfeed Tasty videos, trying new food, and exploring the intricacies of marijuana policy.

CRISTINA PIZZIMENTI

VP, Communications

Cristina is a fourth year student studying International Relations with a minor in Spanish. Joining Model UN 4 years ago, Cristina has attended conferences both in Canada and Europe. MUN has granted her with endless opportunities to meet new people, as well as strengthen her public speaking skills.  She uses MUN as a platform for innovation through negotiation, and highly encourages others to do the same. In her spare time she enjoys reading, socializing, and boxing.

MIKAELA HECK

Chief of Staff

Mikaela is in her fourth year of Political Science. She found her passion for MUN when she arrived at Western, and loves that it gives students a voice in international relations and allows them to try their hand at solving the world’s most pressing issues. In her free time, she enjoys playing music and being outdoors

Bianca is currently in her third year of political science. She has been participating in MUN and debate since high school. Her favourite part of MUN is being able to meet and connect with likeminded young people.

ETHAN KEMP

Head Delegate

Ethan is a fourth your HBA student who has been a part of the executive team for all of his university years. Having been to some amazing conferences in high school, Ethan extended his passion for Model UN into university and is one of this year's two Head Delegates. He not only loves the opportunity to attend some great conferences with Western's MUN club, but also values the chance to visit new cities and spend time with friends.

MICHAEL KALAPARAMBATH

Head Delegate

Michael is a fourth year biology student at Western and has been involved in Model UN since grade 11 and throughout university. He enjoys MUN because it is a great way to meet people and develop both public speaking and writing skills. The beauty of MUN is that there are committees on every topic imaginable; from Climate Change all the way to Harry Potter.

JOEY BUCCI PENNEY

VP, Finance

Joey is in his fourth year of Commercial Aviation Management, though, he does not fly planes. He has been involved with Model United Nations beginning in high school and has held a variety of roles, including Secretary General. His favourite part about being involved with MUN is how it brings students together to solve unique world issues while making connections and having fun. He looks forward to serving Western’s MUN as Vice-President Finance this year.
