COMBATTING CLIMATE CHANGE

Author: Deep Kaur Sandhu

Sandhu collaborated with fellow delegates to form a comprehensive draft resolution at Harvard Model United Nations 2020 for the World Trade Organization committee. Sandhu represented the delegation of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China on the topic of combatting climate change through global economies and environmental subsidies. 

CANADA AND REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT

This essay was completed as coursework for an introduction to political science class. It defines the term “refugee” and explores the question of whether Canada should increase its quota for settling refugees within its borders.

THE FIGHT FOR KASHMIR AT THE PRICE OF HUMAN RIGHTS

Amina wrote this research paper for her International Law class which focuses on the legal mechanisms and the application of international law within the Kashmir Conflict. It details how matters between the two states involving India and Pakistan have been handled within this interstate conflict. With bilateral negotiations, treaties, and involvement of the United Nations, the paper is able to observe that the failures of these mechanisms have extended the conflict and continued aggression as the people of Kashmir struggle for self-determination.
